Welcome to Austin Gurukulam's Tamil Classes

We are all looking forward to starting a new semester with our Tamil students.

This semester, we plan to continue discovering and discussing Tamil culture and traditions in class, along with spoken and written Tamil.

Youngest Students:

Our youngest kids have learnt rhymes, colors, fruits and other basics of beginner Tamil.

Medium Level:

Our slightly older kids have learnt basic word writing with meanings, we're teaching these from Tamil class books.

Advanced Level:

Our older kids have started writing small sentences with meanings.

Above all, our goal is to have the children interested in learning their mother tongue. We highly encourage parents to speak with their children in Tamil, as much as they can.

The children have learnt a lot in just 2 semesters and we hope to continue teaching them to learn, appreciate and use Tamil in their daily life.
