About Austin Gurukulam:
Austin Gurukulam at the Austin Hindu Temple has become the hub in Austin for Hindu parents and children to:
- meet, participate in and strengthen the Austin Hindu community,
- develop strong Hindu values,
- learn shlokas and bhajans and recite them with the correct ucArana
- hear stories from our culture and puranas
- discuss and be encouraged to ask questions
- learn Samskritam, Telugu, Hindi and Tamil
- learn to recite the Vishnu Sahasranamam and participate in regular tournaments that encourage more interest in learning
- learn Bharatanatyam, Carnatic Vocal and Violin from the most talented artistes in the region
- and much, much more
